Use of the app

Rolling Pin is a cooking companion for recipe ideas, chef-style guidance, dish scanning, and estimated nutrition. You are responsible for how you use the app, its output, and any ingredients, tools, or cooking methods you choose. By using Rolling Pin, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, in-app policies, applicable laws, and Apple's rules.

AI output disclaimer

Recipes, cooking guidance, ingredient identification, nutrition estimates, transcriptions, and other output may be AI-generated. Output may be incomplete, inaccurate, unsafe, non-unique, or unsuitable for your ingredients, equipment, skill level, or circumstances. Check important information independently before relying on it.

Nutrition and health disclaimer

Nutrition information is an estimate provided for general informational convenience only. Estimates may use AI-generated ingredient identification, approximations, default conversions, and third-party food databases. Rolling Pin may misidentify foods, ingredients, quantities, brands, or preparation methods, and actual values vary.

Rolling Pin does not provide medical advice and is not suitable for diagnosis, treatment, prevention, medication decisions, or management of a medical condition. Consult a qualified physician, registered dietitian, or other appropriate professional for medical or dietary guidance.

Cooking and food safety

Use your judgment and follow authoritative food-safety instructions. Take appropriate care with heat, flame, steam, knives, appliances, food storage, cross-contamination, and raw or undercooked food. Verify safe internal temperatures and storage times independently. Children and inexperienced cooks should be supervised by a responsible adult.

Allergens

Rolling Pin is not allergy-safe. It cannot identify or guarantee the absence of allergens or cross-contact. Do not rely on dish scans, recipes, nutrition estimates, or AI output to make allergy decisions. Check ingredients and food preparation directly and consult an appropriate professional when needed.

User content

You retain rights to content you submit. Rolling Pin processes submitted content to provide the features you request. Nutrition estimates may reference public or licensed food data, and app assets remain subject to their respective licenses and terms.

Acceptable use

You must not:

• Upload or submit illegal, harmful, infringing, or misleading content.
• Disrupt, reverse-engineer, misuse, or interfere with the service.
• Bypass authentication, security controls, plan restrictions, or usage limits.
• Use Rolling Pin to present AI output as professional medical, legal, or nutritional advice to others.

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations.

Free and Pro plans

Rolling Pin offers a limited Free plan and an optional Pro subscription. Current features and limits are displayed in the app. Features and limits may change as the service is updated, subject to applicable law and existing paid subscription obligations.

Subscriptions and Apple billing

The App Store shows the localized price and billing period before you confirm a purchase. Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple and renew automatically unless cancelled. Manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple Account subscription settings.

Deleting your Rolling Pin account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel it separately if you do not want future renewals. Restore Purchases is available in the app for eligible purchases associated with your Apple Account. Refund requests and billing disputes are handled under Apple's policies and applicable law.

Account deletion

You can delete your Rolling Pin account from Profile → Delete Account. This removes account-owned records from the active backend database and signs you out. Redacted security records and operational backups or logs may remain for a limited period. Account deletion may not erase content stored only on your device and does not cancel Apple billing.

Limitations

Rolling Pin is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by applicable law. AI output, service availability, and nutrition estimates are not guaranteed to be accurate or uninterrupted. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes to the service or Terms

We may update Rolling Pin and these Terms. Material changes should be communicated through the app or another appropriate channel. If you disagree with updated Terms, stop using Rolling Pin and delete your account from Profile.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms follow the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Applicable local consumer rights remain unaffected.
